A fantastic essay and hits practically every positive point that can be said about student-teacher engagement in an age of AI. We really need to think how we might want to test a student's thinking in an age of AI, embracing new technology, not shunning it. Turnitin et al are based on the premise of an adverse student-teacher relationship, one rooted in mistrust. We can do better. I for one, believe, that if we were to truly implement Bloom's taxonomy to its intended meaning in student assessment, we would heartily embrace AI, not shun a student for using it. Keep these thoughts coming Enrique!
