dex digital does a fantastic editorial meditation on building communities and setting up channels of communication in Medium. Read it. He writes about three things — modelling good manners, encouraging emerging communities and keep pushing. His passion and sounds of diligence and sincerity in building a community of writers is really touching.

As I see it, Medium does indeed provide a space and a podium for everyone of us to come and share our stories. We have also seen efforts of how to find the stories we’d like to hear using tags, and by following people whom we’d like to follow. Then yesterday, Ev wrote about his frustrations of finding the comments section not too conducive for interactive discussions. So it seems that there are diggings going on at both ends of a tunnel. The tunnel will connect the readers and writers at the two ends. Just make sure we don’t end up digging to two parallel tunnels.

Which is where people like dex digital and their ideas and passion will need to blossom and show the way.
