Excellent post.

Loved effie after downloading and evaluating. Worth the price.

So, the way to work is to start a list, turn it into a mind map and work from there?

Or when you read a book, create a mind map _from_ a list, and then either download the mind map or fill in the details.

This looks like a productive way of working.

The concepts are applicable to reading articles and similar other long form texts as well. Is there a way to start from a mind map and then convert the mind map to list? I mean within "effie" (pardon me for a newbie question as this is my first minute with effie).

Got it!

So start with a header, then add a list item, or an empty list will do, then in the UI, click on the mindmap like icon on the right hand side, and you have a mindmap that pops up in a separate subwindow, and I can EDIT the mindmap, then either download or go back to list mode!

So, we move from free text to rich text to mindmap to free text to rich text to blog to word document to PDF to .... all with markdown magic!

Genius!

Tell us more about e-zettelkasten!

Do you mean that there is a way to add backlinks? Can this be automated or when I add a sheet and refer to another, backlinks get added?

If that is the case, then effie turns out to be a perfect solution for zettelkasten meeting mind maps!
