Fantastic thoughts. In a recent startup pitch contest, there were two of us who had ideas to set up our companies based on AI. I proposed my startup on using and developing algorithms to reverse diabetes, and another founder proposed to create knowledge graphs for addressing information overload. Both of us were rejected by the judges (didn’t tell us why), but during their private discussions with me they thought the idea was too complex.
Reading your articulation of AI imperative, I was thinking of an oncoming tsunami that will sweep away a lot of these preconceptions about what can be funded as a startup and what can be set aside as too complex and utopian.
