Set up the tools
The book is a gem, particularly if you happen to read a lot whether print books, or online. I have only extracted some thoughts in the form of a map on the reading strategy and here are my notes:
Reading strategy is part of academic discourse, which in turn consists of:
- finding your voice. — This is where your original thoughts, reactions, and comments are given a chance to flourish as you read _anything_. The best way to do so according to Carillo is to start annotating, so here are a few sources of annotations that you can use:
- If you are working on Medium, use Medium’s own annotation tools (highlighters, side notes, comments ….)
