I refuse to use Facebook to test Medium
Why should we depend on Facebook to provide feedback about Medium? Why not within Medium?
Tyler Hedrick, thank you for posting this item. I am startled to read where you write:
Request an invite to the Medium iOS Beta Community Facebook group. This group is our hub for communication with you all, and we ask that you use it to post screenshots, feedback, or questions. You can also always email us at iosappfeedback@medium.com
Yes, but why?
Can Medium not stand on its own? I for one, have stopped interactions in Facebook, but increased my writing, and involvement in Medium. Increasingly, Medium is finding a place as social media platform to post stories, comment in others’ stories, and reading news. Almost everything we can do in Facebook can also be done in Medium itself.
Why can’t we just post our screenshots and stories of experience directly here, and why can you not collect our information and willingness to be beta testers right here on Medium?
Epic fail, if you ask me. Sorry, much as I am interested in being a beta tester, I refuse to use Facebook to test Medium.
