Many years ago, I tried writing journal article style academic papers in Medium, way before any of these initiatives. I learned then the limitation of writing scholarly papers in Medium is lack of support of citations, tables, and meta data. Unless Medium has drastically changed in these regards, it will be difficult as a medium of scholarly outputs but I hope this meeting will be in the right direction.
