Nice article. The approach can be used for almost all addictions, including internet addiction, and repeated urge to “consume” information and posts.

Caveats: five minute meditation advice is misguided and useless. For meditation to kick in, you need at least 25 minutes of daily practice.

Also watch out. You may end up replacing one addiction with another (addiction to mindfulness and the urge to write about it in the Medium).
