Reading this essay, I could not but help think that, time for a new medium (pun intended) has arrived. What shape it will take for reading long form articles is going to be the space to watch for.

However, while movies and their canvas was large by way of storytelling, it was still storytelling that was transformed and the container essentially suited itself to that content if you will. Here, in the new container, it will be one where the “interactor” (for want of a better term) will need to extend the concept, and spawn new ideas. There are already containers such as Ipython notebooks for data manipulation, can text reading and interacting use these as starting points of “how might we?”
