India is a vast and complex country of many different religions, and many different groups, a vast sea of humanity. When we see the present regime in the backdrop of the microcosm of humanity that the country has always been, some things do not seem right. In this collection are a few observations and posts from my writings in twitter that I’d like to share with some annotations.
@Nikhilreturns on Twitter shared a link to a human rights report where Narendra Modi is quoted to have warned the reporters who were covering the carnage in Gujarat then that they would meet the fate of Daniel Pearl (Daniel Pearl was an American journalist who was assassinated by Pakistanis). The report is here:
If you read pp 31 of this report, in point 6.5, the quote appears. Quite unnerving then, and was widely condemned.
