It’s a great point and I wanted to write about some of these workflows in the next part of the article. Overleaf maintains a history file (their version control) and you’d be able to restore the latex file that way if you want. Or if you discover that mistake yourself, you can roll back the source .Rmd file from your version control (you have a git repo in Rstudio) and tidy it up that way as well.
