The way I look at it, Medium seems more of a network of ideas, the authorship and the network of authorship is a layer that surely needs to be built to bring contexts to the stories posted. Like you, I too look at the author of a story I like, unless the author name is printed on top. Then, after a while, I search with the author name.

To me, it seems that the networking process is complex here. Stories nested within authorship. How Medium negotiates this interrelationship is a space to watch I believe.
