Words to the wise

Gutbloom, thank you for this really insightful meditation. It is not just Medium, the phenomenon you write about is everywhere else. Just the other day, I rued that I must be extraordinarily unlucky that I virtually never get any reaction to anything I write on social media. Just doesn’t happen. A couple of people might click “like” or “heart” it, another few would write one liners or one word remarks and then the whole thing gets buried in the dogpile of more posts that come their way.

At times, I pine for more interaction. Maybe I lack friends who care about what I have to say. Maybe I just do not know how to say it, or just that I do not have the online social capital to incite discussions and arguments. And I guess I am not alone.

Medium’s transition from the time when it would only allow chosen few to write and the rest of us would have to just read to this avatar is a remarkable one. I now actually enjoy the little ringside view that you write about.

Consciousness that flows like water.
